Remember what the scientists say is a universal law anywhere in the cosmos. There is no such thing as cold, only a lesser degree of heat. Heat always tries to move to a area of lesser heat. Sort of a universal yen/yang sort of thing. Everything including heat always tries to find a balance.

The same with volcanoes on earth. If the interior of the earth is hotter than the surface it will naturally try to find the path of lest resistance and move to the surface.
