Which type of cellular respiration, anaerobic or aerobic, produces more ATP?

Aerobic cellular respiration produces more ATP compared to anaerobic cellular respiration.

Is anaerobic or aerobic respiration more efficent?

As far as ATP production, aerobic respiration is far more efficient, averaging 32-34 more ATP per glucose.

Does aerobic respiration produce more ATP than anaerobic?

Yes, aerobic respiration produces significantly more ATP than anaerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration produces up to 38 molecules of ATP per molecule of glucose, while anaerobic respiration produces only 2 molecules of ATP per molecule of glucose.

Differentiate aerobic respiration from anaerobic respiration?

Aerobic respiration requires oxygen and occurs in the presence of oxygen, producing more ATP compared to anaerobic respiration. Anaerobic respiration occurs in the absence of oxygen and generates less ATP.

Does aerobic respiration produce much ATP?

Yes, aerobic respiration is highly efficient in producing ATP compared to other forms of cellular respiration, producing up to 36-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule. This process involves the complete breakdown of glucose in the presence of oxygen, resulting in a higher yield of ATP through the electron transport chain and oxidative phosphorylation.

Which is more efficient in the terms of ATP production aerobic or fermentation?

Aerobic respiration is more efficient in terms of ATP production compared to fermentation. Aerobic respiration can generate up to 36-38 ATP molecules per glucose molecule, while fermentation typically produces only 2 ATP molecules per glucose molecule.

What produces the most energy aerobic or anaerobic respiration?

Aerobic respiration releases much more energy than anaerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration can result in as many as 38 molecules of ATP from one molecule of glucose, compared to a net gain of 2 molecules of ATP in anaerobic respiration.

What will yield the most ATP aerobic or anaerobic respiration?

aerobic(36 ATP)

What are the types of cellular respiration's?

The types of cellular respiration are aerobic respiration and anaerobic respiration. Aerobic respiration requires oxygen and produces more ATP, while anaerobic respiration does not use oxygen and produces less ATP.

How are respiration and anaerobic respiration different?

aerobic respiration uses oxygen and anaerobic doesn't; also aerobic produces more ATP or cellular energy***Apex: Oxygen is necessary for aerobic respiration but not for anaerobic respiration.

What are the 4 differences between aerobic and anaerobic respiration?

Anaerobic respiration is performed using ATP. It is only available for your body to use for a short period of time. Aerobic respiration used oxygen and breaks down the atomic bonds to create energy. It lasts longer.

Difference between the two types of respiration?

Aerobic respiration requires oxygen to produce energy in the form of ATP, while anaerobic respiration does not require oxygen and produces ATP through fermentation. Aerobic respiration is more efficient and yields more ATP compared to anaerobic respiration.
