What builds muscle is the fusing of "satellite" cells to the muscle fibers. When those cells fuse, they provide nuclei for the growth of the fibers. Different stimuli can cause the cells to move to and fuse with the fibers, such as insulin, growth hormones, and testosterone.
When muscle fiber is damaged, growth hormones may stimulate the satellite cells to go to the point of injury and fuse to the fibers, which may result in increased muscle mass. But, it certainly is questionable as to whether the "no pain, no gain" mantra or the injection/ingestion of growth hormones or of testosterone is wise for the building of muscle mass.
Myoglobin is broken down by enzymes called proteases, including calpains and cathepsins, after muscle damage. These enzymes break down the myoglobin protein into smaller peptides and amino acids for recycling or excretion from the body.
Lactic acid
Lactic Acid
Very little. There is no resistance to exercise the muscle.
Enzymes are biological molecules that help build up or break down large molecules. They catalyze chemical reactions by lowering the activation energy required for the reaction to occur, making the process more efficient. Each enzyme is specific to a particular substrate or type of molecule.
In physiology any process that builds up a tissue (whether it be muscle or bone or fat etc.) is called anabolic (as in "anabolic steroids", which build muscle). The opposite is catabolic, which refers to those processes that break down tissue.
it starts to break down muscle
muscle tissue helps to break down the food. :D
By excersizing you break down muscle. When the muscle heals it comes by in more mass, making you become more muscly.
Water.
When working out, you stretch the muscle and break it down. Then by adding protein and amino acids the muscle will repair it self stronger than before.
not on its own, you need to lift weights to break down muscle protein rebuilds the muscle once its broken
"light" and "build"
a sledge hammer is a tool you break things down or build them up.
One can prevent or slow down muscle weakness by working out and eating healthy. By working out on a daily basis, one can build up their muscles to be stronger.
Using a trampoline does not build lots of muscle. Building muscle requires resistance, which tears it down, and then proper rest and nutrition, which enables muscular growth. Since using a trampoline does not involve resistance, it doesn't build lots of muscle. .
The stomach has 3 muscle layers that help to churn and break down food.
