A spring tide occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon are lined up in a straight line. The gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon on the Earth pull in the same direction, making the tides more intense - high tides are higher, and low tides are lower. The tides are called spring tides because the water "springs" back and forth, and it has nothing to do with the season.
The opposite is a neap tide, when the Sun and Moon are at right angles to each other, when viewed from Earth. Then their gravitational pulls act in opposite directions, cancelling each other out and making the tides less intense - low tides are higher, and high tides are lower. (The Moon still wins our over the Sun tidally, so high and low tide are still determined by the Moon.)
The opposite of a neap tide is a spring tide. Spring tides occur when the sun, moon, and Earth are aligned, resulting in higher high tides and lower low tides.

A Spring tide.
The next Proxigean Spring Tide is expected to occur on November 4, 2021. This event happens when the moon is closest to the Earth during its full or new moon phases, resulting in higher-than-usual tides.
The Proxigean Spring Tide is a rare, unusually high tide. This very high tide occurs when the moon is both unusually close to the Earth (at its closest perigee, called the proxigee) and in the New Moon phase (when the Moon is between the Sun and the Earth). The proxigean spring tide occurs at most once every 1.5 years.
A spring tide will occur
spring occur because of the earth tilt towards the sun

The proximity of the moon affects all tides. When combined with other effects, spring tides occur

When the moon is at positions a, c, or f (new moon, first quarter, third quarter), neap tides will occur. Neap tides have the least difference between high and low tide levels. When the moon is at position d (full moon), spring tides will occur, which have the greatest difference between high and low tide levels.
