In every electrical circuit there has to be a resistive or inductive load that limits the current inrush to that of the devices internal resistance. Without that resistance in the circuit, the current will not be restricted and will go to a very high value instantaneously.

In the electrical trade this is known as a short circuit. At this very high current value that are only two ways that the current flow will stop. One is the circuits's overload protection, usually a breaker or fuse, will trip and that will open the circuit. The second is that the wires that have become shorted will generate so much heat that the wires will burn and melt open. Once that happens the current flow will stop.

Why would a lamp cause a breaker to kick could it be because I used a regular bulb in a three way lamp?

Yes, using an incompatible bulb in a lamp can cause the breaker to trip. Different bulbs have different power requirements, and an incompatible bulb could draw too much power, causing the breaker to kick in order to prevent overheating or fire hazard. It's recommended to always use the proper type and wattage of bulb recommended by the manufacturer.

Where is the circuit breaker location on a 2000 grand voyager?

On a 2000 Chrysler Grand Voyager, the circuit breaker is typically located in the power distribution center (PDC) under the hood. The PDC is situated near the battery and contains fuses and circuit breakers for various electrical systems. Additionally, there may be some circuit breakers located inside the vehicle, often under the dashboard or behind the driver's side kick panel. Always refer to the owner’s manual for specific details and diagrams.

Is there a main breaker in side the breaker box?

The main breaker kicks off in your electrical box because you are using more electricity than it can handle. If it is set for 100 watts and you are trying to use 125 watts, it will kick off. You can call your electrical company and ask for an electrical audit. There might be things you can do such as not run the washing machine, the dryer, the dishwasher, the stove, the vacuum cleaner, and every other appliance in the house all at once.

Compare and contrast negative and positive feedback mechanisms and give some examples?

Negative feedback mechanisms work to maintain homeostasis by reversing a change in a system, while positive feedback mechanisms amplify and reinforce a change. An example of negative feedback is the regulation of body temperature – if body temperature rises, mechanisms kick in to lower it; whereas in positive feedback, childbirth contractions become stronger and more frequent to facilitate delivery.
