Why don't schools teach you anything useful in life?

I would think that learning how to read and write are useful things, as is knowing where states and countries are located. Schools are places of learning. Without them, where would we be?

The person above probably never saw anyone learning by themselves.How the heck is it that kids in 3-4 grade in the mid 1800s were capable of learning shakespear.While we're now unable to learn shakespear until 9-12th grade?

It true that you learn to write and read in school.I didn't learn much in school,since I was taught to how to sound out words by myself when I was 4.Then I learned about grammar rules by using books.So by the time I got to school,I was already done with everything up to 9 th grade,except for science and history.I frankly didn't learned much from school that was event remotely useful in my life.The rate that kids learn in school is incredible slow.I believe that its on purpose that it was so slow.

Well on the good side,the way your friends act in school,if you're near the so-called gifted class,is about the same way people act when you work with people.Wasting time knowing that they don't have enough ability to really be anything useful,yet they're prideful and fearful due to there superiority which is nearly non-existent.
