It is in the fourth series so it has four electron levels like everything else in that row, and it is in the thirteenth family so they all have the same number of valence electrons (outer electrons). Also knowing that the Periodic Table is organized by atomic number helps because then you know Gallium's atomic number is 31 because of the number of proton and electrons (which is 31 each) ad that Zinc and Germanium have either one over (Germanium) or one less (Zinc) in atomic number.
