A dwarf planet, as defined by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), is a celestial body orbiting the Sun that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity but has not cleared its neighboring region of planetesimals and is not a satellite. The IAU currently recognizes five dwarf planets:-
# Ceres # Pluto # Haumea # Makemake # and Eris. (which is the largest of them - diameter 2,397 km)
Earth's Moon (diameter 3476 km) is bigger then Pluto (diameter 2296 km).
Pluto is a dwarf planet because scientists say Pluto is too small to be a planet anymore. Pluto is a DWARF PLANET.

they decided to call it a dwarf planet because originaly it was called a planet, but then they had some kind of 'planet test' and unluckely pluto did not pass the size test, and was counted to small and was called the dwarf planet.
Pluto has three known moons, the largest is called Charon.
Pluto is a dwarf planet and trans-neptunian object. Crossing orbits with Neptune stops Pluto being a planet.
Pluto is not called the red planet. That is Mars.
yes there is a planet beyoned Pluto it is called the planet x
A number of names for the "tenth planet" were discussed; two popular ones were Xena, from the TV program, and Persephone, in Greek mythology the consort of Pluto. However, in 2006, the International Astronomical Union recategorized Pluto as a "dwarf planet", and the body tentatively named "Xena" was officially named Eris as another "dwarf planet". (There are three other named "dwarf planets" to go with Pluto and Eris.)

Pluto lost it's "planet" status and now is called a dwarf planet.
No even though its not a planet
