Agricultural Density is important in geography mainly for economic reasons.
A higher agricultural density suggests that the available agricultural land (ie. farms) is being used by more and may reach its output limit sooner than a nation that has a lower agricultural density. In contrast, an area with a low agricultural density actually has a higher potential for agricultural production. Economically, a low agricultural density would be favorable for future growth.
