Segregation exists mostly because of society and fear of the different. People want convenience for them even if it means disconvenience for others. We also have to remember that a lot of rules were made around 1700s, and therefor aren't much good today.

It's not good to segregate people. We have to bring them together. If we tear them apart (whenseparating LGBT members and straight people, black and white, trans* and cisgendered, tall and short, fat and skinny..., the list goes on).

Segregation, while convenient to some (for example cisgendered people and toilets) can disconvenience and in some cases drive people enough to end their life for something they could never change.

People are all different. Segregation isn't the answer, and shouldn't be. Full stop.

What is segregation in Mendels law of segregation?

alleles

What is the similarities and difference between the segregation of genes and of chromosomes?

Both gene segregation and chromosome segregation involve the separation of genetic material during cell division. In gene segregation, alleles of a gene separate during meiosis, whereas chromosome segregation involves the separation of entire chromosomes. The key difference is that gene segregation refers to specific alleles segregating to daughter cells, while chromosome segregation refers to the distribution of entire chromosomes to daughter cells.

What was true of segregation in the North?

Segregation in the North was also prevalent, although it was not legally enforced like in the South. Northern cities often had informal segregation practices in areas such as housing, education, and employment, leading to de facto segregation. Discriminatory practices in the North perpetuated racial inequality and limited opportunities for African Americans.

What are the different types of segregation?

Segregation can be social, economic, or racial. Social segregation refers to the separation of different social groups such as by education or income level. Economic segregation refers to the division of communities based on wealth and resources. Racial segregation is the separation of different racial or ethnic groups, often leading to inequality and discrimination.

The separation of alleles is called?

The separation of alleles is called segregation. During meiosis, alleles located on homologous chromosomes are randomly sorted into daughter cells, leading to genetic diversity in offspring.
