Starch is a plants way of storing energy, why it is not a way of measurement as starch levels is determined by how much extra light, once the plant receives enough light it will turn glucose into starch.

Starch levels however could be used for the opposite, by measuring starch & glucose you can work out the rate of respiration, just not photosynthesis.

When is the indirect method appropriate and what are the benefits of using it?

Indirect measurement is a technique that uses proportions to find a measurement when direct measurement is not possible.

What is the functions of the starch in a plant cell?

The starch grains mainly contain starch which is produced from photosynthesis

Does starch grow in the dark?

No, starch does not grow in the dark. Starch is a type of carbohydrate that is stored in plants for energy, and it is produced through photosynthesis, which requires light. Without light, plants cannot produce starch through photosynthesis.

What is an indirect measure and why are such measures common in software metric works?

Indirect measurement is a measurement that is not obtained from a measurement tool; it is a technique that obtains a measurement when direct measurement is not possible. In software metrics work, indirect measures associate a measure to a feature of the object being measured. An example is basing quality on counting rejects. Indirect measures include functionality, quality, complexity, efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.

How is starch linked to photosynthesis?

Green plants are producers. This means that they can survive without animals! They can make lots of organic chemicals from a few simple inorganic chemicals. They need simple things like carbon dioxide and water and can make complex things like sugar, starch, fat, and proteins.

Why do leaver not test positive for starch early int he morning but they at the end of the day?

Leaves do not test positive for starch early in the morning because they use stored starch for energy during the night when photosynthesis is not occurring. As daylight returns, photosynthesis resumes, allowing leaves to convert carbon dioxide and sunlight into glucose, which can then be stored as starch. By the end of the day, the accumulation of starch from photosynthesis leads to a positive test result. Thus, the timing of photosynthesis determines the presence of starch in leaves.

This developing plant uses starch stored in the seed as a source of energy during germination This stored starch is a by-product of?

The stored starch is a by-product of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis produces glucose; plants can convert and store excess glucose as starch. Both sugar and starch are types of carbohydrates.

An indirect measurement of the speed of molecules is?

The temperature.

Temperature is an indirect measurement of?

The speed of molecules.

How are similar triangles useful for indirect measurement?

NO

Which area of the variegated leaf contains starch?

The green areas of a variegated leaf contain starch, as they are the regions where photosynthesis occurs. Starch is produced during photosynthesis and serves as a storage form of energy for the plant.

What is the difference between direct and indirect measurement?

Direct is an exact measurement and indirect is an estimate.
