Cycles are things that repeat themselves...like a circle. The water cycle, like all other cycles, has no beginning or end.

Simply:

  • water vapour evaporates from the sea, lakes rivers and other masses of water when the water is heated by the sun.
  • The water vapour rises into the atmosphere and condenses to form clouds.
  • Water falls as precipitation ( rain snow ice etc) onto the land and ends up in the rivers lakes and sea and the process starts again.

Main parts are evaporation condensation precipitation.

This is a basic version there are other things that are sources of water such as transpiration from vegetation.

Because it is a cycle of water .First evaporation then condensation then precipitation and all over again.

The Water Cycle is called a water cycle because it's a cycle (repeating steps) and in this cycle, it's about water being 'recycled'
