All of the planets except for Mercury have substantial atmospheres. Mercury is the least massive of the planets and has the weakest gravity, which makes it hard to hold on to gasses. It is also the closest planet to the sun, and the intense heat will tend to drive away any gasses that would collect around the planet.
The moons of the solar system all have weaker gravity than Mercury does, so most are unable to hold onto an atmosphere. Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, is the only moon in the solar system to have a substantial atmosphere. While it has weaker gravity than Mercury it is much farther from the sun and much colder, which makes it harder for gasses to escape. Other large moons, even cold ones may lack atmosphere for a few reasons that could have to do with the compositions of the moons or events in the past that may have driven an atmosphere away.
Only Mercury and Venus dont have any moons.

The Sun is a star at the center of the solar system, providing heat and light to the planets. The eight planets vary in size, composition, and distance from the Sun, with Mercury being the smallest planet closest to the Sun and Neptune being the farthest gas giant. Moons orbit many of the planets, with some having more than others. For example, Jupiter has the most moons in the solar system. Asteroids and comets also exist in the solar system, with asteroids being rocky and comets being icy.
because when dust gathers in space it forms a shape moons, planets rocks but in this aera the has not been any gathering of clouds, gas to form a moon dont forget a moon is a bit bigger then rocks in space and it only lights up because of a sun or brigt objects close by.
Because the diameters of the orbits are different. Some are closer to the sun, others are further out.
Two, Mercury and Venus both have no confirmed moons.
People really dont no,but my opion is there is only a single moon
They are similar because the inner planets dont have many moons.
No, there are no moons orbiting Mercury. Mercury is one of the few planets in our solar system without any natural satellites.
Only Mercury and Venus dont have any moons.
Tiny planets that orbit larger planets are known as moons or natural satellites. These moons are held in orbit by the gravitational pull of the larger planet. Some examples include Earth's Moon orbiting around Earth and Phobos and Deimos orbiting around Mars.
No. Mercury and Venus do not have moons. Earth has 1, Mars 2, Jupiter 64 or more, Saturn 62 or more, Uranus 27, and Neptune 13. Among the dwarf planets, Pluto has 4, Haumea has 2, and Eris has 1. Ceres and Makemake have no known moons.
mercury. Its the closest to the sun. i dont know the details :P

i dont know you tell me i dont know you tell me
the inner planets are hot and or warm. the outer planets have rings. they both have the asteriod belt in the middle. they both have4 planets. the inner planets are smaller, made of rock and are AWESOME!
