In the intrauterine life both the testes are located in abdomen. From there the descends down and enter through internal inguinal ring and come out from external inguinal ring to the scrotum. Here the body temperature is less by one degree Celsius less. That is essential for Spermatogenesis. At body temperature Spermatogenesis does not occur. Some times a testis is missing in scrotum and is called as non descended testis. You have to mobilize the same below 8 years of age. Or there are high chances of developing cancer in it.
