Since Uranus is a long distance from earth and the 10 smaller satellites are so small and dark, we weren't able to discover them until we sent a spacecraft close to Uranus. These satellites are not visible from earth.
Uranus is very far away from the Sun and the Earth, and its satellites very small. When Voyager flew there it was much closer and it was easier to detect them.
Space probes have proved that Uranus also has ten much smaller satellites that orbit much closer to the planet. These ten are dark in color and do not reflect as much sunlight as the larger ones.
Uranus is very far away. The planet itself cannot even be seen without a telescope. Those ten moons are very small. They would have been extremely difficult to find with even the best telescopes.
Uranus has 27 natural moons identified so far, the first two Oberon and Titania discovered by Herschel in 1787 just a few years after he discovered the planet itself; with other moons discovered subsequently by observations from earth-based telescopes and the Voyager-2 flyby.there are 27 moons.Among its largest moons are titania, oberon, umbriel, ariel, and mirandaUranus has 27 known natural satellites. The names for these satellites are chosen from characters from the works of Shakespeare and Alexander Pope. The five main satellites are Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon.27.
The Voyager 2 spacecraft is the only spacecraft to have flown by Uranus, making its closest approach on January 24, 1986. During this flyby, Voyager 2 captured detailed images and data about Uranus and its moons. It also provided insights into the planet's atmosphere, rings, and magnetic field. No other satellites have since passed by Uranus.
The ten smaller moons of Uranus were not discovered until a space probe passed by because they are relatively small and faint, making them difficult to detect from Earth due to the planet's distance and brightness. The space probe was able to capture clear images and data from close proximity, allowing scientists to identify these smaller moons orbiting Uranus.

Uranus has around 15 moons in orbit, but scientists believe there may be more, smaller satellites they haven't discovered yet. Only one spacecraft has ever been to the planet.

Neptune is more massive than Uranus, is further from the sun and was discovered after Uranus. Uranus has 27 known and named satellites as well as a ring system. Neptune has 14 known and named satellites, and a faint and fragmented ring system.

Uranus - was first discovered by William Herschel, by telescope on 13th march 1781. It was first explored by satellite, when Voyager II did a fly-by (in January 1986) - on its way out of the solar system.
