The solidified lava forming the walls of the lava tube will act to insulate the molten lava. It will therefore cool more slowly than lava at the surface and so will have a lower viscosity (it will be more runny) and so will flow faster than lava at the surface.
The temperature of the air high above the ground can vary significantly depending on factors such as altitude and weather conditions. However, in general, temperatures tend to decrease with altitude, so it is likely that the temperature of the air high above the ground would be below 0 degrees Celsius.

While lightning typically goes from a cloud to the ground and does rarely move upward from the ground, going from one part of the earth to another is unnecessary. Given a piece of negatively charged ground and another positively charged one, the path of least resistance would be through the ground rather than through the air.
It would start to fall as rain or snow depending on the exact temperature however if it was colder near the ground it would turn into snow or ice.
The 525 is faster for racing. but on flat ground the raptor would be faster.
That needn't always be. Faster cars are built lower to the ground. This is primarily to lower the center of gravity of the car. If the car is much higher above the ground, it's center of gravity would also be higher and that means the car would have lesser stability. Fast cars have to be stable even at high speeds and a slight nudge would be enough to throw the car off-balance if the ground clearance is high. Hence as a safety measure, fast and super cars are built lower to the ground.
Above ground. If they grew underground, they (a) would not be green and (b) would not be peas. +++ The pod is the fruit, and the peas the seeds, of the pea plant.
ground meat because it can cook to the inside faster and if it was whole then it would take a longer time to cook !:)
sound travels faster through water than air.
I would like to build a pool. What are the requirements for one to build an above ground pool deck?
I would like to modify my pool. Where can I find information online on above ground pool liners?
== == Science Major: Altitude is height above mean sea level (MSL) or true altitude, which means in reference to what sea level is on the ground, or height above ground level (AGL), which is also called absolute altitude, which means height above the ground with no reference to the ground's height above sea level. In example, if the sea level in a certain place is 100 feet and you are 250 feet above the ground, your altitude above sea level would be 350 feet, and your altitude above ground level would be 250 feet.
because if they where above ground they would probably be brook more often
Hmm well its either ground or metal so I go with one of those.
Newton's First Law. The resistance that an object encounters by moving only through air is considerably less than what it would encounter were it on the ground. Since the resisting force is greater on the ground, the object will travel more slowly.
A "synonym" for lava would be "molten rock". Lava is above ground. Magma is below ground.
