Electric motor was invented by zenobe gramme or Michael Faraday?

The electric motor was invented by Michael Faraday. Gramme invented the Gramme dynamo, which was a type of electric generator that helped advance the development of electric motors.

What percentage of copper in Electric generator?

Electric generators typically contain copper windings to conduct electricity. The percentage of copper in an electric generator can vary, but it can range from 20% to 30% of the total weight of the generator. Copper is favored for its high electrical conductivity and resistance to heat.

Can you take a 12000 watt gas powered generator and replace the gas engine with a electric motor to run the generator?

A 15 KW generator won't likely run everything in your house, but besides that it is not efficient. You will be using more electricity to run the generator than the power would deliver. You also defeat the reason for the generator - run your house when power goes out. Now if you had a wind turbine turning a generator you have a positive contribution to house power. This is how wind power works. There are also lots of issues associated with a power transfer switch and feeding power back into the grid.

What is armature amps?

Armature amps refer to the current flowing through the armature winding of an electric motor or generator. It is used to power the electromagnetic coils that generate the magnetic field needed for the motor or generator to operate efficiently. Monitoring armature amps is crucial for maintaining the proper functioning and performance of the motor or generator.

As electric generatar produce electric current due to magnetic induction than why current don't produce in electric motor as magnetic induction should also occur in electric motor?

I will attempt to answer the question I think your asking: 'If an electric generator produces an electric current due to magnetic induction, then why isn't a current produced via the same mechanism in an electric motor?' The answer to the best of my understanding is that it is, or at least, it would be. The reason is that in a generator a conducting wire is rotated in a magnetic field and this induces a current as each charged particle experiences a force as determined by F=q(vxB) [this is the vector form of the equation using the vector product] or F=Bqv if you are unfamiliar with vectors. As this causes electrons to move this manifests itself as an alternating current in a wire. Conversely in a motor and alternating current is passed through a magnetic field in a coil of wire, this time the wire now experiences a force F determined by F=I(lxB). This produces a torque on the centre of the motor and it is this torque that drives the motor. However if you were to rotate the coil of the motor externally without supplying a current to it then the reverse process would take place. This would induce an AC current in the motor which would now function as a generator. As a aside if this current was then driven through the generator it would then rotate exactly as the motor did.

What size genorator would run a small cement mixer?

To run a small cement mixer, you'll typically need a generator with a power output of at least 2,000 to 3,000 watts. This range accounts for the starting wattage, which can be higher than the running wattage due to the motor's initial surge. It's essential to check the specific power requirements of your cement mixer, as some models may require more power. Always choose a generator with a little extra capacity to ensure reliable operation.

What are similarities and dissimilarities between a motor and an electric generator?

An electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. While an electrical generator does the opposite.

How does ac electric motor convert in to an alternator?

a motor is a generator and a generator is a motor, if you are applying a voltage to turn the rotor its a motor and if you are turning the rotor and taking the voltage off the terminals its a generator or alternator.

Can an electric motor run a generator to power itself if the motor has a small gear and the generator has a big gear?

I think it can work with a certain type of generator and an electric motor like one that uses 300w/h The idea is to run a generator that can produce more electricity than needed to run the motor that is powering it.
