Work-Energy Theorem.

When work is done on a body its kinetic energy changes.Let a constant force F acting on a body of mass m changes its velocity from u to v in a distance d, then work done = F * d

change in kinetic energy = 1/2mv2 - 1/2mu2 = 1/2m(v2 - u2) =1/2m * 2ad =ma * d =F *d

Therefore work done = change in kinetic energy, that is F *d = 1/2mv2 - 1/2mu2.

What is metabolic load in gene expression?

Metabolic load in gene expression refers to the energy and resources required to produce, maintain, and regulate gene products within a cell. This includes the synthesis of mRNA and proteins, as well as the energy needed for transcription, translation, and post-translational modifications. High metabolic load can affect cellular fitness and may lead to trade-offs in resource allocation within the cell.

What is the job of nucleus and chloroplast?

The nucleus is the control center of the cell, containing the cell's genetic material and regulating gene expression. Chloroplasts are responsible for photosynthesis in plant cells, converting light energy into chemical energy in the form of glucose.

Does a cells energy come from a nucleus?

No, a cell's energy does not come from the nucleus. Energy in a cell is primarily generated in the mitochondria through a process called cellular respiration, where glucose is broken down to produce ATP, the cell's main energy source. The nucleus, on the other hand, is responsible for storing genetic information and controlling cell activities through gene expression.

The conversion of potential energy in coal into the kinetic energy that heats steam is an expression of?

The conversion of potential energy in coal into kinetic energy that heats steam is an expression of the first law of thermodynamics, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred or transformed. In this case, the potential energy stored in coal is transformed into kinetic energy in the form of heat to generate steam power.
