The poles are imaginay points, and can't melt.
If the pollar ice caps were to melt, it probably would not be enough to put all of
the Dominican Republic under the sea, since the country includes a serious range
of mountains that separates it from Haiti.
The islands of the south Pacific are another matter. Over there, they've been
seeing it happen for years now, and they don't have that much left to go.
I just checked a website that gives the current local time in the Dominican Republic (see the Related Link below), and it says it's 11:15 PM. In New York (where I am) it's 10:15 PM. So, the Dominican Republic is one hour ahead of New York. If it's 2 PM in New York, it's 3 PM in the Dominican Republic.
That would be the Dominican Republic

No. As the name would indicate, it is a Republic- it's own nation.
The two countries that make up the island of Hispaniola are Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Haiti occupies the western portion of the island, while the Dominican Republic occupies the eastern portion.
If you are from Santo Domingo, you are likely Dominican, as Santo Domingo is the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Your nationality would be Dominican, which reflects your citizenship in the country.
There are no direct flights from Ireland to the Dominican Republic. To get there would mean flying to somewhere and get a connecting flight. Mostly it would be by going through the USA. Depending on the connections taken, the overall time from leaving Dublin to arriving in the Dominican Republic could be anything from 14 to 21 hours.
