  1. LYSOSOME lysosomes are cytoplasmic organelle and are different from others due to their morphology. These were seprated component for the first for the first time by de duve in (1949).Lysosomes (lyso=spliting; soms=body)are found in most eukaryotic cells.Any foreign object that gain entry in to the cell is immegiately engulfed by the lysosomes and is completely broken in to simple digestible pieces. The process is known as phagocytosis(eating process of cell). They are most abundant in animal cells which exibit phagosytic activity.they are bounded by single membraneand are simple sacs in acid phosphate and several other hydrolic enzymes .These enzyme are synthesized on RER and are further processed in the Golgi appratus .The processed enzymes are processed enzymes are budded off as Golgi vesicles and are called priamary lisosomes .Lyssomes contain those enzymes which can digest the phagocytosed food partcles. They are also involved in the autophagy (self eating).During this process some old, wornout part of cell, such as old mitochondria are digested.Inthis way, materials degeneration of cell,as may occur duringsome develeopment processes.Lysosomes also release enzymes for exta cellular digestion.
