yes, just gradualy move the newspaper towards the door, then outside. next, gradually make the newspaper smaller then finally take it away when your puppy is confident to on going to the loo outside.
always bring the dog outside after playing eating sleeping and dont give it anything to drink after 7:00. but the newspaper trick is an old and succsesful way to house train a puppy . start out with a large area of newspaper your puppy will go on it . then slowly take the amout of newspaper away till you down to one sheet slowly move it outside the after a few weeks take the news paper away.
You should take your puppy out at least every hour, if it's a male puppy they need to go more often that a female puppy or so seems anyway.
if it is a puppy, train it with puppy pads because it will be too cold outside for them, as well with all puppies of any breed.
if your really good yes or if the puppy is well behaved than yes again if not then you are in trouble- big trouble
At about the age of month 2 (the latest would be 6 weeks, the earliest would be 2 weeks)
go outside with your dog when it goes to the bathroom give it a treat and say good dogy or puppy
To train a puppy to go to the bathroom outside in cold weather, keep your puppy on a regular schedule for going to the bathroom, dress your puppy in warm clothing when you take it outside, consider using a bathroom pad or litter box inside as a temporary measure, and use a consistent command to signal to your puppy that it is time to go to the bathroom. Gradually move the pad or litter box closer to the door and eventually outside, and be patient and consistent while your puppy is learning. If your puppy has an accident inside, clean it up thoroughly to remove the scent. It may take several weeks or even months for your puppy to be fully pee trained. You can buy pee pads (sold at your local pet shop), and on weekends you can potty train it!
One month old puppies can barely walk, see and hear. All he needs at this state is socialization with people and his litter mates.
If the puppy is already paper-trained, gradually move the paper closer to the door going outside. About half an hour after feeding the puppy, take it outside until it passes either urine or feces. Make a fuss about what a "good" dog it is when it does this. They learn quickly what brings pleasure to their owner.
But it outside alot
It's better to train before feeding as the dog is allert and does not want to sleep. Also the dog will want to have the training session when it learns that after training it is food time.
