Sort of. The Moon doesn't jump in between the Earth and the Sun; the Moon moves normally, and gradually hides the Sun, so there is a sort of "twilight" or period of partial illumination. Many people comment that it looks very much like twilight, in that it gets slowly darker - even though the sun is still high in the sky!
In fact, birds and animals have been observed to return to their nests and burrows as if the sun were setting.
It took place in Twilight Saga Eclipse which was awesome by the way. I believe it took place mostly in the mountains at the end but it was totally awesome.

The book Eclipse came out on August 7th, 2007.
No, an eclipse will only occur when the moon is passing through a node if it also aligns with the Earth and the Sun in a specific way. This alignment is what creates the conditions for a solar or lunar eclipse to take place.
The next solar eclipse visible in England will occur on August 12, 2026. This will be a partial solar eclipse, where a portion of the Sun will be obscured by the Moon. For a more significant solar eclipse, the next total solar eclipse visible in parts of the UK will take place on September 23, 2090.
In the first place, solar eclipses happen at New Moon. Apart from that, the Moon has an orbit that is inclined to the plane of the Earth's orbit, and an eclipse can only occur when it is crossing that plane. If it is not, the Moon passes above or below the Sun and there is no eclipse.
The setting in Eclipse is Forks, Washington... In Edward and Bella's meadow, Cullens Home, Bella's Home. La Push, Washington First Beach, Jacobs home,
It takes place during Eclipse, just before she is killed.
A partial eclipse will occur across the UK (greater than 80% everywhere) on 20 March 2015. The next total eclipse in the UK wont be until 2090 (23rd September).
