I can't find a record of a National Geographic article on the Columbine shootings. However, the National Geographic Channel series The Final Report did an episode on the Columbine shootings (video on the link below). The format for The Final Report is to ask questions about the incident that's being covered, then answers those questions. Based on my other research on Columbine, they cover the subject in a straightforward manner although without too much depth.
