The editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News is John Micklethwait. He oversees the editorial content and operations of the global news organization.
The size of the editorial department of a newspaper depends on the size of the newspaper. Big newspapers usually have elaborate departments with several editors and reporters, while smaller newspapers tend to be smaller and compact. For a typical newspaper it would have the editor who oversees the newspaper, and in some cases doubles as the manager. Reporting to the editor is the deputy editor who supervises the editorial department. Reporting to the deputy editor are line editors who supervise reporters according to specialties. These line editors are also called by the departments they handle such as Sports Editor, Business Editor, Politics Editor, Foreign Editor, Features Editor and News Editor. There are also special editors who read and edit news copies such as the sub editor and copy editor.
The Washington Post's book editor is Ron Charles. He oversees book coverage for the newspaper and contributes book reviews and literary news.
