I like two magazines: Better Homes & Gardens Wood, and Taunton Fine Woodworking. Fine Woodworking's got some really advanced projects in it; Wood covers a broader range of skills. Woodturning Design is excellent if you're a turner; if you have no lathe this book won't do anything for you.
