As a general rule, the older the better when it comes to US coins, 1793 cents regularly sell for hundreds if not thousands of dollars even in nearly unreadable condition. Early pennies have many die varieties and some can sell for a lot of money while earlier dates in more common die varieties may sell for less, but as a rule, the earlier the "better".
The penny is worth 1 cent, unless it's misstruck or something.
it all depends on what year it is
For the most part, no. Since the 1950s, Denver has produced more pennies per year than Philadelphia. The only D cents worth significantly more are from before WWII.
They really aren't. When a coin first comes out in the year, there is a rush for collectors to buy them for their collection or as birthday/Christmas gifts for people. Because of this, generally the current year is "worth" more than the previous year because most of the coin collectors have already gotten the previous year's coins but might not have the current year's coins. It is a temporary increase and when the 2012 coins start coming out, the 2011 coins will not be worth a premium any more.More ...The answer to this grade-school joke is that 2,011 pennies are worth $20.11 but 2,010 pennies are worth one cent less.

This will depend upon the year of the pennies, because the make-up of pennies is not only copper and has changed over the years.
A penny from 2000 is worth one cent.
Not all that much. Most of them in circulated condition are worth about 3 cents from the 1940s-1958 (last year for wheat pennies was 1958). Though error coins and high grade examples will be worth more.
With the possible exception of traders tokens (with the traders business name on them), there were no "Australian" pennies minted prior to 1911. The only Pennies circulating in Australia prior to 1911 were British Pennies.
WHAT YEARS be more specific..
1960 pennies are worth more. Wrong!.... 2008 are worth more... its about quantity not YEAR Clever. But I would point out that the 1990 pennies would probably be worth the most due to the fact that they contain more copper =)
The value of three old pennies depends on their condition, rarity, and the year they were minted. Most common old pennies, such as those from the 1900s, might only be worth a few cents to collectors, while rare editions can be worth significantly more. For example, a 1909-S V.D.B. penny could be worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars. To determine their exact value, it's best to consult a coin collector or appraiser.
