It is likely that a Savage Model 22 rifle does not have a serial number. Serial numbers were not required by law in the US until 1968.

The Sears model 2200 is the same as a Savage Model 80 Series A.
--------SAVAGE 3 SERIES Rifle Information-------- There were several variations of the Savage model 3 rifle made. The basic version is a single shot bolt action, .22RF chambered rifle. It appears that all variations of the M3 were single shot and that the added model variation such as
Contact Savage. They are still in business, making good rifles.
Made for Sears Roebuck. Same gun as the Savage Model 6 or Stevens Model 87. Savage made these from 1938 to 1968.
