i am currently in college and I was just wondering if someone with a felony on there record coulod be a nurse
In most states that I know of, one cannot hold a nurses license after having been CONVICTED of a felony.
Yes you can
It would be very difficult. Even a misdemeanor DUI cause an already practicing nurse to lose her license. The law article below explains the connection between a DUI charge and careers in medicine.
Yes I need a babynurse license.
Yes.
I'm sure. A DUI isn't a felony.
yes but it depandes how many
but were you guilty that is the quistion if you werent than yes
There are two factors that need to be considered: (1) Will Texas license a nurse with a felony record. (2) Will your prospective employer hire a nurse with a felony record. There is no way that both these question can be answered without your doing some of your own homework. Especially on the question of employers hiring criteria. YOU must check these two areas to learn the answer to your question.
It would be much less of an issue than become a nurse or a doctor, but it will still be a blocking factor. Working CNAs are likely to lose their licenses over a felony DUI. The attached law article explains more about the consequences of DUIs for those in the medical profession.
It would be difficult. Even working nurses can be stripped of their licenses for DUIs.
To become a Nurse in NYS you must have a nursing license for NYS . Once you have obtained the license you can apply at any hospital that has job openings. There are several hospitals to choose from such as New York State Hospital and Buffalo General hospital.
