Oral hygiene is v. important for all teeth, but definatly for restorations and bridgework! Make sure to brush 2x daily with flouride toothpaste. (recommended 1450ppm) Bristles should be angled towards the gumline and be rotated in small circles to remove plaque. Make sure to brush all surfaces of the teeth and bridgework, including the inside surfaces which are often forgotton. Also, it is important to clean interdentally either using floss or inderdental brushes. This should be done at least once a day between all teeth. For bridges, they must be flossed underneath daily. Use OralB superfloss or a similar product. Superfloss has a ridgid end which can be passed underneath the bridgework and used to clean. Make sure to slide the floss up and down underneath the gum on the tooth which the bridge is bonded too. If you are having difficulty keeping this clean ask your dentist to show you how to floss properly. Mouthwash is also benifical, use alcohol free, flouride mouthwash but at a different time to toothbrushing, eg. after work/lunch etc. Hope this helps!
