Yes, you can wear the same colored shoes and dress. However, you could have a pale pink or soft colored dress on and wear white or ivory colored shoes. If you are wearing a dark colored dress then wear black shoes or the same color shoes as your dress. Example: Navy dress with navy colored shoes. White and black are generally the most popular so if you don't want your feet to look too dark in dark shoes or the color may be a pinch off in white or other colored shoes wear shoes with the height of heel you like, but also have small straps crossing the front of the foot (this makes the foot appear dainty and also the off color is less.)

It would depend on the shade of the dress. If it is a light gray color, then light gray or white shoes. Black would work. If it's a dark shade, then dark gray or black. If the dress is more of a tan shade, then tan or white. And brown would work. If it has more of a blue shade, the same blue color of shoes, or possibly navy.
For a gala dinner you dress with a fancy dress. Mostly solid colors like Dark red, or black. For shoes just wear black high heels with a little design on it.

Yes you can, but if you're wear party dresses make sure the floral print is a dark or bright print, rather than opting for a subtle print and colour. This is much more bold and eye catching for evening wear.
