It is horrible unless your body adjusts and you can hold the liquid food. If not, it's a miserable experience. If you cannot hold it, go back to the hospital and have the nurses feed you through IV's. You will still be bedridden, but atleast the pain and sickness will not be as bad.

It depends why the feeding tube was placed. If the feeding tube was placed because the person cannot chew/swallow safely, then no. If the feeding tube was inserted for supplemental feeding because the person doesn't consume adequate nutrition, then yes.
