* Being joyful at the birth of a new child, but at the same time, terrified that you are now a parent

A person that can feel or express two emotions at a time is usually called an ambivalence. An example of an ambivalence could be someone like this:-I am angry and happy at the same time.-I cried of sad happiness.Ambivalence people are usually uncommon. To empathize or to show empathy you need to place youself in the other persons shoes. Empathy is not like sympathy where you just show you feel for them, you need to feel and go through the same feelings as the person. you have to feel the same emotions. If you took time to think about that person, what they're going through and how you would feel if you were in the same situation you could possibly become empathetic. but always try to help

It is important to take time to understand how others feel about things at work as it helps build relationships, fosters effective communication, and creates a positive work environment. Ignoring others' feelings and emotions can lead to misunderstandings, conflict, and poor teamwork.

In NLP we use a process called State Elicitation to access various emotions. To do this, you simply need to remember, recall and relive a time when you have felt a certain emotion. The basic State Elicitation pattern goes like this:Can you remember a time when you were ___ (motivated). Can you remember a specific time?Go ahead and step back, float back to that time when you were ___ (motivated) and step into feeling that now. See what you see, hear what you hear and feel what you feel being totally ___ (motivated) now.By accessing useful emotions a person can better manage their state and take more control of what emotions they are feeling.Dr. Heidi HeronInternational Trainer of NLPNLP Worldwide
