High heels force you to arch your back in an unnatural posture. This causes the muscles around your spine to work harder, leading to back pain.
The human foot is certainly not designed for that kind of posture but there is no clear evidence that ALL people who regularly wear high heels get bunions. Thus the answer must be NO. However if you have a propensity to develop bunions then placing your foot in that posture and confinement could be detrimental.
Wearing high heels should not effect the way your bum appears. What can effect the way your bum appears is the type of panties you wear, and the type of jeans you wear. Obviously, the type of jeans you wear are going to change the way your bum appears. Tight jeans will make your bum appear more shapely and tight. Wearing saggy jeans will make your bum appear saggy and unshapely. High heels do, however, effect your posture, and are not necessarily good for your back.
High heels move your legs into an unnatural position when walking. This puts unnecessary pressure on your joints which could effect many things including arthritis.
High heels tend to make people's legs look longer and slimmer, which is a benefit to models. Also, heels tend to encourage good posture when people are walking (although they're very bad for your feet and back in the long run). Lots of people feel heels give them more confidence.
