Excision means complete removal of an organ or tissue. If forming a word from combining forms, the organ's or tissue's word part followed by -ectomy, from -ec- being a variant of e- meaning "out"(most of the time) + -tomy meaing "cut". i.e. appendectomy, laminectomy. If the word ends with just -tomy it "usually" means incision and not excision.
Excision, perhaps, or -ectomy (for example, the complete removal of, say, the heart would be a cardiectomy).
