a malignant tumour is a tumour that grows and spreads (metastasizes). It is made up of mostly adipose (fatty tissues). it is not made of lymphoid tissue rather its spread may affect lymphoid tissues and other body tissues.

∙ 11y agoA primary malignancy of lymph nodes is typically described as a Lymphoma; however, nodes are often the first site of metastatic spread of carcinomas (in contrast to sarcomas which typically can spread by blood flow). Lymphoma are in general uncontrolled proliferation of immune cells that are found in the lymph nodes. There are two main divisions of lymphoma Non Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and Hodgkin Lymphoma. Hodgkin Lymphoma had a unique cell type (Reed-Sternberg) that is not present in NHL. Among these two broad divisions there are many different types of Lymphomas with greatly varying outcome and treatment options. If this question was asked by someone who was diagnosed with a malignant tumor of lymph nodes you should really ask your doctor what this means as this merely general information.
