Nursing jurisprudence is that area of law which is comprised of all legal rules and principles affecting the practice of nursing. Those laws (nursing practice acts) are typically within the functions of each state board of nursing. The state nursing boards license nurses based on those laws, and hold hearings regarding individual misconduct.

The only nursing course that takes 3 months would be a certified nursing assistant. LPNs take about a year and RN school takes 3-4 years depending on what school and if you are going for your bachelor's or not.
I am trying to find out if I have to go through a initial training course at a local nursing home, or can I take a refresher course on line, ( which I received a certificate from) and still go for state boards?
