What the Course Helps With

The course is perfect for those who want to work in health care. It teaches the students and prepares them for working in environments like hospice care, rehabilitation hospitals and psychiatric hospitals.

The course will help with teaching skills such as taking blood pressure and using the respiration devices. It also teaches the day to day activities that are required when working in a hospice or caring for disabled or elderly patients, such as bathing, helping with using the toilet and just the events of daily living. It also helps with helping patients with walking and just moving around, which is required for rehabilitation hospitals.

The training is done in two parts. The first one is the theory and the second part is all clinical. This helps to teach the skills that are required and then asses the students carry out the skills that have been taught. The theory part is done through classroom lectures and through demonstrations. This also gives the students a chance to become certified in CPRO, which is a two year certification to give the basic life support to be a professional rescuer.

The clinical part of the program is when the students get the chance to work with patients who are in different health care facilities. This training is done with a Licensed Nurse supervising every stop of the way for no more than 15 students at one time. This helps with the instruction to be personalized.

After all of the training at the nurse assistant school, a test is taken to certify the student. This is done at an official testing center and gives the graduates the chance to show what they have learned.
