The U.S. has never used a G mint mark. It's possible you're seeing a somewhat blobby "S", from San Francisco.
As of 06/2008 retail prices for Barber halves are roughly:
No mint mark, D, or O : $12 in worn condition, $32 with moderate wear, $85 with slight wear.
With an S mint mark : $17 / $65 / $140
Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1908-O Barber Half dollar is a fairly better date of the series. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. Most coins show a lot of wear. In general retail values for low grade coins are $13.00-$40.00, better grade are $100.00-$180.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $300.00-$440.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.
Assuming the coin is circulated, the 1908-O Barber Quarter is a more common New Orleans Mint issue coin. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. In general retail values for low grade coins are $10.00-$25.00, better grade are $30.00-$75.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $1000.00-$190.00. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer
half a dollar
Value runs from $185.00 to $250.00 in circulated condition.
A 1969-S proof half dollar - aka - Kennedy Half Dollar is worth: $7.00.
Kennedy is on the HALF dollar. A 1994 half is worth 50 cents.
a half hundred dollar bill is worth $50
It depends on the year and condition, but it's worth at least half a dollar.
A half dollar.
HALF a dollar - $0.50
The 1966 Kennedy half dollar is 40% silver and worth about $5.00.
If you mean a 1998 Kennedy half dollar, the coin has no silver in it and is worth face value.
I couldn't find a good 1908 image but 1909 Barber halves used the same design.
The worth is a dollar...
