You can check the spot silver price in the financial section of your daily newspaper. Most dealers will buy a silver bar for about 20% less than the quoted spot price and sell one for about 20% above it.
The value of a troy ounce coin of 999 fine silver is based on the current spot price of silver in the market. You can calculate its worth by multiplying the weight of the coin in troy ounces by the current spot price of silver. Additionally, consider any premiums or fees that may apply when buying or selling the coin.
There is a real Bill of Rights coin but it is a commemorative coin minted in 1993. Since yours has a 1991 date and "one troy ounce .999 fine silver" on it, I think you probably have a bullion coin and it is worth whatever the silver in it is worth on any given day.
Silver is currently valued at about $13.50 per ounce. A dealer will buy single ounce bars or rounds for about $10 or sell them for about $16.
Silver is trading at about 28.50 an ounce. A half ounce of silver is worth about 14.25.
512.00 is the spot price on the current market for 1 pound troy ounce fine silver morgan dollar proff dated 1878 but my advice is find a coin dealer or even better a private coin collector and your coin would be worth closer to 750.00
Silver is currently selling for about $17 an ounce. A dealer would sell this coin for about 10-15% over spot price or buy it about 10-15% below spot.

It's a silver round not a "coin" value is whatever the spot price of silver is at time of sale.
....Its a 1 ounce bullion coin/round. These are privately minted rounds produced as an easy way to invest in silver. They are usually not dated because they are not numismatic products and aren't collected as a coin is. Rather they are just worth their intrinsic silver value. Today they are worth about $30, but it depends on silver spot price.
The U.S. did not make any dollar coins dated 1816. From your description, it's a silver round not a genuine coin. Value is about $19.00.
I have one of these coins. Just wanting to know the value.
