It's an umbrella :P substitute "up" for "open" and "down" for "closed."
What may go down the chimney up but not down the chimney down?
An escalator. They're one-way devices. Either up or down.Another Opinion:Escalators ARE reversible!

Width is up and down. Length is left to right.
length is up and down width is side to side
height is up & down, width is side to side
its down or up. it doesnt matter. width is left or right
Conventionally, yes.
Width refers to the thickness of an object, not it's relative position in space. That would be "horizontal" or "vertical".
No. There is a rule for a situation like this. It's called the "one up, one down rule." So the tire size is 205 60 R15. 205, which is the tread width (205 millimeters), 65, which is the percentiage of the profile of the tire is of the tread. It is 65% of the width of the tire. And then R15 which is the diameter of the rim. The one up, one down rule is that a 210 55 R15 will fit, as well as a 200 65 R15. So 205 can either go up to 210 or down to 200, and 60 can either go up to 65 or down to 55. If one number goes up, the other must go down or vise-versa.
No it did not go up it went down
