Margot; Margaux is in use since the 1980's, mostly by American or English (oriented) parents who pay hommage to the Margaux wine (like the writer Hemingway) but also as an occitan transcript of Margot, which is a diminutive form of Marguerite. Margôt is not (much) in use in France, the ^ seems to imply the loss of the letter s before the t (like table d'hôte refers to the table of the host). That is not the case here.
