Watashi WA anata no tame ni kansha shite i masu

___

Correct, but it wouldn't be said that way by a Japanese speaker. If you just want to tell someone you're grateful in terms of "hey, thanks for helping me out" or "I'm in your debt" kind of thing, 感謝しています (kansha shiteimasu) is enough.

If it's more along the lines of "I'm grateful that you exist", saying あなたの存在に感謝しています (anata no sonzai ni kansha shiteimasu) is fine, it literally means "your existence/presence causes me to be grateful"

Remember, the spoken Japanese language relies very heavily on context, so the exact translation of the words you want to say is usually not going to be something that would actually be said in a conversation. "you"s, "I"s, particles, subjects, etc can very often be omitted from a sentence, and usually are unless in a very formal setting.

What should you do if you tell someone you love them and they in response tell you that they do not love you?

You can be very very grateful that the person had the courage to tell you the truth. You can be aware that because one person doesn't love you, this does NOT mean that you are unlovable. There is someone out there for you. I'm in awe that you had the courage to tell this person how you felt. This will all look and feel so different a few years from now when you look back. You're doing great.

What is the word 'buffalo' when translated from English to Japanese?

I'm not sure, but it doesn't have a Kanji. My guess is it would thus be written in Katakana like this: ブファル (bufaru) Hope this helps, and if there's someone who speaks Japanese as its first language reading this please tell me if it's correct.

How do you tell someone they are smelly without hurting their feelings?

Just be straight with them. Get them alone and tell them they need to shower more often and possible get them a stick of deodorant. If you do it so no one else hears you, they probably won't be too upset and possibly will be grateful for the information.
