何度 (nando) is commonly used to mean 'how many times?' in Japanese. The particles も (mo), か (ka) and でも (demo) can added to 何度 to change its meaning: 何度も (nandomo) means 'many times'; 何度か (nandoka) means 'several times'; 何度でも (nandodemo) means 'any number of times'.

Examples:

  • 1週間に何度お風呂に入りますか (isshuukan ni nando ofuro ni hairimasu ka) - "How many times a week do you take a bath?"
  • 伊勢神宮には何度も行ったことがあります (isejingu ni wa nandomo itta koto ga arimasu) - "I've been to the Ise Grand Shrine many times."
