"Vieja" means "old lady," though it is sometimes colloquially to mean "woman" or "wife."

Que, No it doesn't. I am Spanish and I assure you Vieja is a derivative of Viejo which means OLD. So Cumbre Vieja means "Old Ridge." Don't believe me buy a good English-Spanish dictionary. Hasta luego.

I meant to add, woman is Senorita (single) "Senora" usually a woman in her middle ages and married, "Mujer" is a wife and mother, whilst "Donna" usually older as in a grandmother.
