∙ 12y agoThis story is about a mentally challenged 33 year old named Ernie who has fallen in love with Dolores, a local hardware store worker. She is very manly and everbody in town says that no one could ever love her. Since the man is living in an assisted living home with other hanicapped citizens his care taker escourts him to different places; one being a diner(Big Boys) which across the street from were Dolores works. After having fallen in love with Dolores, the man leaves flowers for her every time he is taken to the dinner. The flowers are special because after his mother died the only thing important to him was a pack of seeds he had. After being convinced by his care taker to plant them he gives the beautiful flowers to Dolores. Once noticing that someone could actually care about her that way in the town, Dolores starts having the confidence to girly up her wardrobe.
