Josh's birthday is the 31st of December. Let's say "today" is the 1st of January 2010. The day before yesterday, 30th December 2009, Josh was 13. Yesterday, 31st December 2009, he turned 14. But now it's 1st January 2010. That means, this year (31/12/2010) he turns 15 and next year (31/10/2011) he turns 16.
