I would only think that the younger children would call you 'Mama' because that is there way of saying 'Mum' or 'Mummy' or of course the older people could say it if you were there Mum, The only reason I would think the younger children would say it to you if you were not there Mum, is like anywhere else, they wanted their Mum.
