1. You can start an antique store by getting some money then you find a store that is willing to sell for your amount of money if they sell for that amount you get some workers and a good business plan once your done with that you get the antiques that you want to sell such as clocks than you got to get some money to pay the workers with and you done so i hope to walk in to your antique store someday my little shining pupil
2. The best way to start an antique store depends on what kind of money you have to start with. If funds are short, perhaps a flea market or antique mall is the best answer. If funds are higher, you could buy, rent or lease a building and start your store there. Either way, you are going to need a few things, such as a business license, a tax ID number for your state (unless you are outside the US, then your laws will differ), and a supply of antiques. Note that the best sources of antiques are estate sales and auctions.
3. The best way to make a small fortune in Antiques is to start with a large one. Other than that, I would strongly suggest starting small. Start with a budget of $100.00. Buy something that you know will sell for more, then sell it! Kijiji, eBay, Flea Market, Consignment, Ad in the paper... and then repeat. Really the skill you need more than anything else is knowledge. What is something worth TODAY, not yesterday and not one week from today, but what will it sell for today...

   Lots of people "know what it's worth" but few know from having sold it. Those selling are usually wanting the most they can get, those buying are usually wanting to pay the least possible. You have to make your profit from the middle... Once you have repeated the above 1000 times, look for an inexpensive location that is easily found. There is usually some location that is undervalued but has foot traffic and parking. I suggest you look for other similar businesses, ones that are Antique stores is best but what I call Destination Businesses are just as good... a business that people will travel to because it provides things that others do not, in my area I have two wonderful clothiers a hobby shop that puts most to shame, great restaurants, a tailor and other such businesses... then pay the rent and work your tail off. Best if you don't have to take any money out for a while... like a year, as it takes time to establish yourself and gain trust in the community. I sold part time for 10 years before I opened and have been open full time 7 years so far. Good luck, it's lots of fun and LOTS of work.
