Hi - if the organisation is a profit making company and all of its profits go to shareholders then that is still classed as a business. There are many more requirements for a daycare business than for most other types of businesses. First you need a business license from your local city hall, usually under $75, next a business checking account, then you must go to your local police department to be finger printed and register you and the business and last you must contact the state government you want to operate in to obtain the requirements from them. You will want to get a commercial insurance policy to cover yourself when you have walk in public. Although it is a lot of work if you truly have a passion to do this it will payoff and there will always be a demand for great quality daycare in our society. Good Luck to you!
