Transformer is a device that works only with AC (alternating current), and is frequently use to step up (increase) or step down (decrease) the voltage level. Therefore we can say that, in order to maintain or to bring the voltage level up to our requirement we use Transformer.
Though there are many classifications of Transformer, but more or less there purpose is almost the same, however only the function of instrument Transformers (includes current transformer & potential/voltage transformer) is bit different. Voltage transformer is used with high voltage power systems and is use to bring the voltage level up to the rating where it can be measured easily by ordinary instruments (usually 120V). Similarly current transformer is used to bring the high rating of the current up to the value where it can be measured easily (usually 5A).
Rectifier is a device that is used to convert the Alternating current into Direct current or in short AC to DC converter is called rectifier. Rectifier is also classified as half wave, full wave, bridge, etc, but more or less there purpose is almost the same, except for the difference in their conduction pattern (half wave conduct for half cycle, full wave conduct in both directions for complete cycle). Conduction pattern of rectifier is determined by the number and working of diodes (the major component of rectifier).

An application is a program
Computer engineering technology is the product and concepts that is used in computer engineering.
There are fundamental similarities and difference between computational programming and packages. A computer program are the set of instructions behind a specific application or software. A package is set of software programs.
Information requires a mind, data is a series of states in the computer. It's like the difference between hearing and listening, one requires a mind the other doesn't.
The rectifier is what changes your AC into DC that the computer can use. Transformer raises or lowers the voltage. So you have 110 volts AC coming into your computers power supply. The Rectifier circuit in there changes the AC voltage to DC voltage but it is still to high for the computer use. The transformer lowers that voltage down to the various voltages that your computer needs
A rectifier is a device that converts alternating current to direct current. A transformer is a device that changes the ratio fo current to voltage. A rectifier is found in a PC power supply.
computer does not have feelings The main difference is that a computer can't think.
A transformer is a device that changes the level of an a.c. voltage, while a rectifier is a device that converts alternating current to direct current.
It's really simple. A rectifier is an electronic device that converts AC (alternating current) to DC(direct current). It does so by using an arrangement of electronic components named a diode. An inverter is just the opposite of a rectifier. Meaning it coverts DC (direct current) to AC (alternating current) and that's just it. The process of how it's done is the same as for a rectifier, but just the diodes are arranged differently. An example of a rectifier device is the power supply inside your desktop computer. Inverters are usually found inside an LCD monitor.
The difference between a super computer and a mini computer is in their computing power. A super computer has infinitely more computing power than a mini computer.

the difference is that the mainframe is bigger and more expensive.
just difference between you and your grandfather. be ......
A transformer is basically used to step up or step down the main power supply. The rectifier is used to convert an alternating current (AC) or voltage to direct current (DC) or voltage.
the computer is the device. the computer surface is the surface it sits on
